Hermès is set to host a new exhibition in London, entitled Leather Forever, featuring some of the historic label's most famous designs. Celebrating Hermès' 175th anniversary, the exhibition will also play host to some of the brand's artisans - who will create the iconic bags in front of visitors.

Held in the Royal Academy of Art's sister space, 6 Burlington Gardens, the exhibits will trace Hermès' history - from 19th Century saddle and harness-maker, to one of the most famous handbag brands of the 21st Century.

As well as pieces commissioned by the Duke of Windsor as gifts for Wallis Simpson, the exhibition will feature four unique bags representing England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales that will be auctioned later - with all proceeds donated to the Royal Academy of Arts.

The exhibition will run from May 8-27 and entry is free.
