KM3D-1 Movie with Kate Moss

Created by AnOther Magazine with artist and filmmaker Baillie Walsh, KM3D-1 stars Kate Moss. The work continues Moss and Walsh's journey into experimental, multi-dimensional image-making, first seen in their legendary holographic film for Alexander McQueen's autumn/winter 2006 show.
With a performance that recalls the fantastical cinema of Ray Harryhausen, James Bidgood and Kenneth Anger, KM3D-1 places at its centre one of the most iconic female figures of the modern age. Suspended in time and space, Kate is caught inexorably in the parallax gap; a butterfly in a spider's web.

Selfridges Opens Largest Shoe Department

British department store Selfridges has announced that it will open the world's largest shoe department on Sept. 23, 2010. A special preview party was held last night at the Selfridge's Shoe Galleries with Vivienne Westwood making an appearance.
Designed by world class architect Jamie Forbert, at 35,000 sq ft the mega shoe hall is the largest shoe department in the world. Bigger than the huge ground floor of London’s Tate Modern, it has taken 3 years of planning and 300 days of construction. Approximately 4,000 shoes will be on display from around 150 brands, and a total of 55,000 pairs of footwear actually held in stock.
In addition to this there will be 11 bespoke brand boutiques including a Coco Chanel apartment, (a replica of the iconic designer’s apartment which includes a replica of a Jean-Michael couch) and a Jimmy Choo lounge with furniture selected by co-founder Tamara Mellon. Add to this a Louboutin apartment, an Ugg chalet, Prada suite, a Gucci apartment, and a Dior apartment and it's shoe heaven for any footwear fashionista.

Dolce & Gabbana have just unveiled Spiga2, their first multi-brand store featuring the young designers collections personally handpicked by Domenico and Stefano creating an exclusive space for for fashion's promising new names.
We wanted to create a new, special place, unique in the world. With this project we give the emerging designers we have handpicked from all over the world visibility, offering them a real opportunity. What happens there, happens only there and in this very moment in time.
