Jean Paul Gaultier and La Perla have collaborated for a special lingerie collection.
"Lingerie is part of my DNA and of my heritage," Gaultier said in a press release.
"In my latest prêt-à-porter collection I revisited the conical bras and corsets worn as outerwear. This collaboration was a natural and logical step, especially since La Perla is the pearl of the lingerie, with the best savoir faire."
"Cooperating with Jean Paul Gaultier filled us with satisfaction from the very start," Alain Prost, La Perla's C.E.O., said in a release.
"A perfect synergy immediately came to light between his vision and the values of luxury and elegance that have always been cornerstones in La Perla's history."
Two special, limited-edition pieces – a backstitch satin bra with a shoulder-strap motif and a garter belt – will make their debut at Gaultier's July 7 haute couture show in Paris.
The lingerie collection will be available in November and sold at select La Perla and Gaultier boutiques, and select department stores. Prices will range between $600 and $1,200.
“Dior women are not shy, they’re modern and daring,” says John Galliano. The Dior fall color collection pays tribute to this idea of unabashed femininity with shades of sensual mauve, deep purple and smoky charcoal and grey tones. The eyes are the focal point of the look: endless and full lashes, mysterious, smoky lids and soft, pink hues for the lips. Available in August.
Damask covered walls, mirrors and booths, wood floors and marine coconut: welcome to the new Miu Miu boutique in Forte dei Marmi.
The shop is a space designed by the architect Roberto Baciocchi. Garments, shoes and accessories of the fashion house are placed at the center of the boutique on huge benches of glass and damask, with an apparently casual construction, with a chic and extremely feminine mood.
The shop is not only seen as an enclosed space: clients can relax on huge benches and pillows under a damascus tent, to escape the sun and enjoy the summer day. The opening of this Miu Miu boutique is part of a plan that by the end of this year will increase the Miu Miu presence in the world, with nine abroad stores and four placed in Italy.
