When Vogue cover girl Agyness Deyn announced that she was to try her hand at acting, starring in a short film entitled 'Mean To Me' by artists David McDermott and Peter McGough - many were sceptical that she would befall the model-turned-actress curse like so many before her. It seems they needn't have worried - since Deyn has already been collecting rave reviews.

"Starring the incredibly gifted Agyness Deyn," Vanity Fair columnist George Wayne wrote of the film, which he added, "turned out to serve as a flawless reel for Deyn." He cemented his point by crediting her as "the next Faye Dunaway".

The Mancunian model plays a woman living with an older man, played by Law & Order actor Linus Roache, the Daily Mail reports. She is seen being rejected by him, which results in her breaking down in tears in the 12 minute film, after he tells her he is planning to marry a less attractive woman.
