As the current wife to the French President Nicolas Sarkozy, her days are filled with governmental affairs, but she found time to slip a little side project into her schedule. The former model strutted her way back into a magazine office, but this time instead of gracing the cover, she’ll guest edit Madame Figaro magazine.
The issue hits stands on Saturday and includes features on topics close to Carla: friends Farida Khelfa and Marine Delterme, Bono, and her charity. Carla called upon designers Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier to create one-off outfits, made especially for her and photographed by Ellen von Unwerth for a special photo spread.

Tom Ford is giving the beauty business some lip — with Private Blend Lip Color, a new color collection, which is launching in April in Europe and on June 1 in the U.S.
“This is my take on 12 classic lip colors,” Ford told WWD. “I took the most universally flattering colors that a woman can wear, and then I reimagined them in a modern and authoritative way."
Tom Ford is also quietly ramping up his womenswear team with new hires from Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, and shoe designer Michael Lewis.
