If you ever dreamed about opening your own boutique, a new feature from online e-tailer Revolve will provide you with the opportunity to do so.
On November 11, Revolve will relaunch its website, unveiling both an updated look and new features, one of which is an application that allows Web users to build their own online clothing store.
REVOLVEclothing.com users will be asked to create a profile, after which they will be directed to their own boutiques. To stock their virtual stores, they simply "heart" their favorite clothing items from the products available for sale on the discount site. If another online shopper buys an item through their boutique, the "owner" will receive a commission in the form of store credit from Revolve, ranging from one to 10 percent, depending on the popularity of the boutique. Owners can also post blogs and videos in order to build up buzz and direct traffic to their virtual stores.
Two of the first Revolve users to have signed up to open an online boutique are blogger Rumi Neely of Fashiontoast and Nicole Richie, the celebrity designer behind House of Harlow and Winter Kate.
